Types of Acid Fracturing Hose

Acid fracturing can be a difficult process and you need to ensure that you are using the correct hose

Acid fracturing can be a difficult process and you need to ensure that you are using the correct hose. Fortunately, there are a number of different options, and you’ll be able to find the right product for your application. This article will discuss a few of these hose types.

Oil drilling hose

Super Wear-resistant Acid Fracturing Hose is made of steel wire wound rubber and has a high-pressure hose designed to handle this aggressive fluid. It is used extensively in oil exploration and production. Its hose has been certified by the American Petroleum Institute API Q1 quality management system. This hose is suitable both for onshore and offshore drilling. It has low-bendability and is light in weight.

High wear-resistant acid fracturing hose is suitable for hydraulic, sand, and acid fracturing applications. Flexible construction reduces leakage and lowers ownership costs. These super-wear-resistant acid fracture hoses have an inner rubber layer and a fiber reinforced braided rubber layer. They are resistant to acid and alkali, and have excellent wear resistance.

A temporary plugging agent with a 1.5% concentration can seal a fracture of 2 mm. It can hold 14 MPa for 25 min. The resulting pressure rises rapidly. The temporary plugging agent works for a long time. The test period takes 21 minutes. The pressure is maintained at 13.9MPa after that.

The YY666 well is located in the Shuangyu gas reservoir. Three sections of temporary plugging acid fracturing have been successfully completed.

Offshore Oil Hose

This hose is high-wear resistant and can be used in different types of oil and gas fracking. This kind of hose is made of high-pressure polyurethane elastomers with super wear-resistance. It has characteristics of high flexibility, high tensile strength, low-bending resistance, and excellent acid and alkali resistance. Moreover, it is lightweight and suitable for demanding environments.

Acid-resistant hoses are available in different sizes. Some are made for high pressure fracking while others are designed for suction and discharge service on tank trucks and tank cars. The Series 2285 hose can handle a variety of petroleum-based materials including oil, mud, and sludge. Its wire braid reinforcement gives it high abrasion and oil-resistance. It can withstand a pressure of 2250 PSI.

A temporary plugging agent of 2% was used to successfully block a two-mm fracture. The test pressure rose to 14 MPa within 23 minutes but remained at that level for a long time. The temporary plugging agent’s strength is sufficient to block the fracture, even when it is only two millimeters wide. The plugging layer is relatively weak at the start of the test, but the plugging agent blocks the fractured portion.

This super-wear-resistant acid fracturing hose is used for oil and gas exploration and production. It has been designed to reduce friction. The YY666 well located in the Shuangyu natural gas reservoir has undergone three sections temporary plugging acid fracturing. The gas production increased three to four times compared to surrounding wells.

Large Offshore Oil Exploration

This type of oil drilling hose and production hose is made to transport water/produced water. It is used to replace a damaged water main due to hydraulic fracture. It is made from NSF-approved materials and is stronger than polyurethane flat hoses. It is reinforced using high-tenacity polyester yarn, and coated with a 70/30 mix of nitrile rubber & PVC. It can be customized with custom colors and branding in large volume orders.
