UPE Hose
Among other things, UPE Hose is used in the delivery of chemical products and alcoholic beverages. It is normally installed on tank trucks or discharge platforms. It is also recommended for implant applications in food and laboratory industries. It is not recommended for use in electrically conductive areas. What applications should UPE Hose be avoided? Let’s take a look at some of them. Here are some examples of common uses.
Slurry Treatment Wear-resistant Hose
Slurry Handling Solutions are based on interchangeable, standard components, including couplings and hoses. The couplings and hoses themselves are made of rubber or metal and are not in contact with the materials being transported. The couplings are typically made of aluminum and are placed between lengths of hose to provide a tight, durable joint. Slurry-resistant hoses are available in three different styles: flexible PVC pipe, rigid polypropylene, and rubber.
Heavy-gauge rubber linings are used to line slurry hose assemblies. To ensure minimal wear and tear, the properties of the material being conveyed have been carefully selected. CavMac40 and CavMac60 were developed over many decades for the mining and mineral processing industry. These materials offer superior wear resistance and cost-saving advantages. Both ranges are available with a manufacturer’s warranty. Slurry hoses are resistant to corrosion and abrasion.
To evaluate the effects on pipelines and pipes of different slurry-abrasion levels, laboratory apparatus was used. This method is not suitable for elastomeric materials. The abrasive particles are trapped in the rubber lanes and a small wear rate is observed. Fig. 8. This slurry-abrasion method is not suitable to test elastomeric materials because the abrasive particles get trapped between the rubber lanes. The result is minimal wear.
UPE Super Abrasion Resistant Hose
UPE Super Abrasion Resistant Hose (SA) is designed for a variety applications. It offers superior abrasion resistance, heat and pressure resistance, and is suitable for a wide range of applications. It also uses conductive materials and steelwires to provide additional safety. Depending on the application, the hose may require custom lengths or specifications, which can be found in the catalog of the manufacturer.
ToughJacket hydraulic hoses are specially formulated for heavy-duty applications. These hoses have a special polyurethane jacket that exceeds industry standards for mega/super tough abrasion resistance. They come in sizes from 10 feet to 24 inches and can withstand temperatures as high as 212 degrees Fahrenheit. These hydraulic hoses have a high temperature range and are resistant to abrasion.
